BoA to perform a duet with AKON

(Source: Sanspo) 22 year old Korean popstar BoA will perform a duet with AKON. AKON had previously performed with notable artistes like the recently deceased Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

The two had previously met in April at Chiba, during a music festival called "Spring Groove". Akon had said that BoA's voice was really "cute" and looked forward to working with her. BoA also expressed her admiration for Akon's compositions. This duet would certainly be a boost to her advancement in the States.

Tokiwa Takako thanks Michael Jackson

(Source: Sanspo) The conference for Tokiwa Takako's upcoming movie, Hikidashi no Love Letter (Listen to my Heart) was held today in Tokyo. Actress Yachigusa Kaoru and actor Hayashi Kento were also present.

In this movie, Tokiwa Takako plays a radio show host and the movie is about people who want to tell some things and express themselves but find themselves unable to do so, thus resorting to writing letters to the radio. Tokiwa also admitted that there were many times in her life when she wanted to communicate some important things to some people in her life, but found herself unable to do so and so turned to writing letters instead.

When the stars were supposed to write Tanzakus (short poems) for the upcoming Tanabata festival (festival of the weaver), Tokiwa wrote one to Michael Jackson, thanking him for the dream he has given her.

Yamada Yuu will celebrate her 25th on the plane

When asked how she would celebrate her birthday, which falls on the 5th of July, she answered that she was so busy that it seems she would spend it on the aeroplane.

Tamaki Hiroshi and Yoshitaka Yuriko are Dating!

They met while working on a drama and as they got along well, their relationship progressed. The drama was TBS' Love Shuffle, which aired earlier this year in January. Kamenashi Shock! Mr.Brain ratings dropped to 16.3%!

Kamenashi Kazuya was the guest star in Episode 3 and that episode was the only episode that did not break the 20% ratings ceiling.

The ratings for KimuTaku's new dorama so far is as follows:
24.8％→22.0％→16.3％→21.0％

The episode with Kamenashi was 16.3%. This is bad news for him!!

GReeeeN 's new album breaks Oricon Records

(Source: Mainichi) 4-member Hip hop unit GReeeeN's new album has sold more than 45,200 copies in its first week, which is the highest record for 2009. The album, Shio Kosho (Salt and Pepper) was released on June 10 2009. The album includes the theme song from the movie ROOKIES, called Haruka.

This is the first time that GReeeeN has topped Oricon's rankings since its debut.
