(Source: Entame) Recently, the actors that will be starring in Gokusen:The Movie was announced. They included actors like Kamenashi Kazuya, Oguri Shun, Hayami Mokomichi, Koikei Teppei, Ishigaki Yuma, Narimiya Hiroki and Koide Keisuke. However Matsumoto Jun from Season 1 and Akanishi Jin from Season 2 were notably absent from the cast.
In the recent KAT-TUN concert held on 18th May 2009, Akanishi Jin had commented that he was interested in acting in Gokusen:The Movie, but wondered aloud if "apart from him, everybody else was acting." 'If Kamenashi is casted, then so must Jin right?" He added, revealing his dissatisfaction.
However, reasons for Matsu-Jun and Akanishi's no-show in this movie are said to be simple schedule clashes. Akanishi Jin is playing a lead role in BANDAGE, a movie slated for release in 2010. There are rumours going about however that Johnny's is embarking on a "Save Kamenashi" mission. After the dismal performance of his dorama, Kami no Shizuku, critics predicted the end of his career as an idol-actor. Hence, Johnny's has been actively helping to resurrect his career (since he was such a cash cow for them anyway); this can be seen in his guest-starring role in Kimura Takuya's new dorama, Mr.Brain, and POSSIBLY in Matsu-Jun and Akanishi's absence in Gokusen : The Movie -- since all the spotlight would be on Kamenashi as the sole Johnny's representative amongst the leads.
Is this true? How about matsujun? Did he complain?

ReplyDeleteif Johnny's indeed on that mission, it'll only hurt Kame more..people would definitely see this as him being so desperate in uplifting his career and so on and so forth..
now im more curious on Jun's reaction overt this.. seriously it would be better if just all 3 of them were included..simple as that..
if those two in gokusen movie..lol wud be so many johnnys! but Kame himself got best actor award in kami no shizuku though if i'm not mistaken. He acts very well i think.

FACT: Matsumoto Jun played the role of Shin Sawada, one of the main characters in the manga together with Yankumi
FACT: basically the very original is the first Gokusen
FACT: the next seasons were merely copies of the original, it's just like a tool to introduce new boy talents or rather Johnny's talents
FACT: a lot of people are disappointed because Shin Sawada is not included
FACT: yeah, right, kame won that award if not for the help of fangirls voting..but the critics' judgment still is the winner
have you guys ever thought about that maybe, MAYBE, it just so happens that Kame's schedule fits with Gokusen's filming schedule? there are many factors why an actor appears in a movie and others don't. Matsujun is busy with a shit load of ARASHI activities while being in SMILE.
ReplyDeletethink about it, there are 3 SEASONS of gokusen, trying to fit all the major characters from all seasons to a single movie is just forcing it, they still need to have an original story for the movie, making way for new actors.
Alas, Akanishi, maybe it hasn't occured to you, but he hasn't been in much acting jobs lately. Either he's not interested or he's not just being interested - aka, Jin is not exactly the most talented acting johnny out there, having watched his dramas you would know. Sure he's good looking and talented in some other departments, but maybe he's just not up to par with all the full time actors in the movie.
to put it simply, Jun and Jin are not in it may just be that 1. they are not interested 2. schedule conflict.
as for kame, face it, JE is not exactly known for its "kindness" in treating its employees. Everything is business, if someone doesn't sell, they'll happily move on to a newer, fresher, or more likely to be popular. His schedule fits, he's not doing much acting these days other than guest starring in dramas, so to get a bigger role in a movie is not surprising considering he has no other commitments and he's a regular actor.

ReplyDeleteBeing an idol means a lot of schedule conflicts and the pursuit of high profits. It would be false to just attribute it as JE trying to revive a waning cash cow.
Besides, if Jin really wanted to be in the movie, I'm pretty sure he'd be somewhat vocal or obvious about it. He doesn't seem like the person to hide what he feels. At least, that's the impression I got from him.

ReplyDeleteI never imply that, i think you are assuming by yourself that i imply so. I'm not a kamenashi fan at all, im just saying it. oh please..its a fact, he got an award and personally i think he acts quite good.
i like gokusen, i wish those two are in it too. its just that having so many johnnys is maybe the main reason they're not in it. all the lead roles are johnnys hey, maybe avoiding leading role clashes or smth
err, kamenashi's not the ONLY johnny in the movie...
ReplyDeleteand all that stuff said in the concerts were all said as a joke, maybe you should go read some of the MC translations. if it was really such a big thing for Jin, they wouldn't be bringing Jin's absence up in EVERY concert.

i like matsujun, jin & kame. i'm not outraged moreso than i am disappointed. As a fan of all 3 it would've been great to see them together on the if screen.

as it stands anyway, the cast is already eye-candy hotness overload. throwing in jun+jin as well would've taken it overboard! xPP

ReplyDeletewhen i heard that there will be Gokusen:The Movie & read that Kame will be in there...i also thought that would Jin be there too?but then i thought that he may be not b'coz he busy with Bandage...so i'm not so disapointed with this news....
but if Kame cast in this movie for that kind of reasons...i feel so sorry for him b'coz..Kame haters may be increased by now...
for me,his acting is great in Kami no Shizuku eventhough i dun like the dorama that much...b'coz...i'm not so into wine...hehehe

Jin's first movie is Bandage which will be released in January 2010. So he can't possibly be in the Gokusen movie cause this will pre-empt his first big screen role as a 90's rocker.The writr producer of Bandage said in interviews that he only had one actor in mind for the role of Natsu and that was Jin Akanishi. Jin is pretty vocal about what he likes or doesn't like so he's probably just coasting along until a really good project comes along. He always says he likes to work at his own pace. I need more Jin Akanishi news! thanks.
ReplyDeletei am a really bg Kame fan, but at the same time i'm also a Jin fan. it would be good to see both of them there but i guess it's only kame. even if he's carre is going downwards i'm sure loyal kame fans (like me) will stick by him
ReplyDeleteI'm a Shinlumi shipper, so I would have loved to see him on the movie. I was a bit disappointed when I read that. Odagiri Ryu will be in it, so that's work fine for me though ^^

Poor Kame, that's just lots of work once again for him. I'm glad though the Movie had such a success^^
Jin already has the movie Bandages and please, I like Jin so I can say that, to me he doesn't really have acting skills. Singer, dancer etc...Okay, no pb.He really doesn't convince me as an actor.It's better for him to concentrate only on bandages, then maybe it will be good...Hopefully.
I don't think Matsujun care that much about it. He made no comment. Then again, contrary to the KATTUN members, he doesn't need to prove himself. He is an established actor.

ReplyDeleteIf jin's not there (ps. I love both kame and jin--major kattun fan here) it's not kame's fault. and fact1, kame is an stabilished actor. fact2, he acts very well. the only problem is sometimes they give him the wrong projects.
and OMG, stop blaming the guy for everything. Jun's not there coz he's busy... i didn't hear him complain about it. Jin is not there coz he has Bandage already.

ReplyDeleteFor those who think that Akanishi is a bad actor, go watch "anego". He acted very well there.
As for "Yukan Club", well I'm pretty sure everyone in that drama was forced into overacting, with such a ridiculous script and plot... (even if you like it, you gotta admit it's over the top)so I don't think that's fair judgement of his skill.
I haven't seen Bandage yet but I'm sure he did well there. And I wasn't outraged by his absence, just dissapointed. I'm sick of everybody hating on poor Kame though. How dare he have time in his schedule! ;)

I wouldn't mind even if it was only one scene like the ones Oguri Shun or Narimiya Hiroki got. He's the lead student in Gokusen 1 and he's not in!? ughh
