 (Source: Entame) 28 year-old Japanese actress and gravure idol Niiyama Chiharu was seen holding hands on a date with a man and returning home at 4am. Yoshiki's Biography sells 10,000 copies on first day - Wednesday, May 27, 2009 @ 3:57 PM
 (Source: Sanspo) The biography of X Japan's leader, Yoshiki was released on 25th May. On 26th May, the total sales for 25th May were calculated and reportedly reached more than 10,000, setting a record. There were numerous online pre-orders and it seems likely that the first edition will soon be sold out. The writer of the biography, Komatsu Narumi had said - " Everybody knows the Yoshiki that shines brilliantly on the stage. However, not everybody knows the Yoshiki that is often lonely, and who can never escape from his sorrow. Meanwhile, Yoshiki has been making headlines overseas. He has reportedly been on an overnight date with a Chinese singer called Chan Tsui who is 30 years old. X Japan is also scheduled for a concert on 30th May 2009 at Taiwan. Eita Returns - Tuesday, May 26, 2009 @ 2:11 PM
  (Source: Sanspo) Having been sick for 12, 13 days, Japanese actor Eita (26) returns to work on 25th May 2009. He attended the official CM press meeting for Fujitsu's new summer handphone series in the day, and the premiere of his new movie, Gama no Abura at night. Gama no Abura is to be released on 6th June 2009.

Yoshiki's Biography Ranks No.1 for 3 consecutive Days - Wednesday, May 20, 2009 @ 6:58 PM
 (Source: Mainichi) The book is not even out yet (it is due to be released on the 25th of May) but Komatsu Narumi's biography of Yoshiki, the leader of visual-kei rock band X Japan, has received the highest amount of online orders on Amazon and various other online shops for the past 3 days. So far 70,000 copies of the book have been published. Kadokawa Publishers has confirmed that they will be reprinting the book for a second publication. Matsumoto Hitoshi Married! Hamada comments. - @ 7:19 AM
  (Source: Sanspo and Mainichi) One half of comic duo DOWNTOWN, Matsumoto Hitoshi (45) has reportedly gotten married to half-Korean NTV's weather-girl, Ihara Rin (26). News of them dating first started in July last year by the women's weekly Josei Seven. Ihara Rin is also said to be pregnant currently. Matsumoto has been known in the circuit for his philanderous ways. His most famous girlfriend to date is Tokiwa Takako (37) which was exposed by the weekly "Friday" in May 1995. However, their vehement denials of marriage rumours in August 2003 more or less signalled the end to their relationship. In response to this shocking revelation, the other half of the comic duo DOWNTOWN, Hamada Masatoshi released his "comment", as shown in the picture above. He wrote:" Congratulations. So you too, are (going to be) somebody's father! You cannot go to places like Gotanda anymore okay?" More about Gotanda here (though I think some details were left out by Wiki.) Yoshiki's Biography to be released on 25th - Sunday, May 17, 2009 @ 11:31 PM
 (Source: Sanspo) A non-fiction book based on X Japan's leader, Yoshiki's life, will be released on 25th May 2009 with a going price of 2310 yen. It is based on almost 100 + hours of interviews, spread out over the course of a decade starting in January 1999 with Yoshiki. These interviews were conducted by Komatsu Narumi, a famous non-fiction writer who had also previously authored biographies of Hidetoshi Nakata and Ichiro Suzuki, both famous sports stars. This book promises to reveal much information about Yoshiki, including his real name and birthdate which had been hidden from the media since his debut in 1989, Yoshiki's growing-up years, how Toshi and him became friends, his thoughts during X Japan's disbandment and HIDE's (accidental) suicide. You may purchase the book at various online stores including this one, where interestingly there have already been 10 reviews for this yet-to-be-released book, from as early as 2005. Wow.  (Source: Mainichi) Norwegian-Japanese announcer Yamamoto Mona (33) attended the official launch of model Adriana Karembeu's cosmetic line in Japan today, 15 May 2009. Adriana Karembeu is a model based in France who is famous for her height -- she is reportedly 126 cm from the waist down. Yamamoto Mona said that her mother and her friends had been telling her that she had become more cheerful and beautiful recently. "It is all thanks to my boyfriend." She said, making known her relationship with her property dealing boyfriend. She was also wearing a ring on her hand, and stated she always wore it, arousing suspicions of an impending marriage. The new CM is released today while the official press conference for the launch of the new CM took place yesterday in Tokyo. Ueto Aya, who loves white so much that her house is really white, appears in a white one-piece dress in this new CM, alongside a washing machine. Tamaki Hiroshi's Midsummer in Orion released today - @ 8:29 AM
 (Source: Sanspo and Soompi) Tamaki Hiroshi (29), Kitagawa Keiko (22) and other actors of Mannatsu no Orion (Midsummer in Orion) attended the premiere of the World War II naval epic in Tokyo yesterday, 12 May 2009. The movie is directed by Tetsuo Shinohara and is based on the book "Raigeki Shindo Juukyuu-ten-go" by Tsukasa Ikegami and is set near Okinawa during WWII. The macro-plotline focuses on a battle between a Japanese submarine and an American destroyer, whilst micro-plotlines involves personal relationships amongst the characters.
