(Source: Sanspo) Ueto Aya (24) is now the face for a new line of Gentleman's Suits by Aoki, which was presented to the public on 13th October in Tokyo.

This new line of suits is made by a special material which has a self-adjusting capability depending on the temperature of the environment. For the Akihabara outlet which will open on the 23rd of October, a huge billboard measuring 12X12 metres has been mounted. The petite Aya confessed it was the first time that she has appeared on such a huge advertising billboard.

The new CM for this product features Aya in a scientist's get-up, and goes on air from the 14th October onwards.

(Source: Mainichi) Norwegian-Japanese announcer Yamamoto Mona (33) attended the official launch of model Adriana Karembeu's cosmetic line in Japan today, 15 May 2009. Adriana Karembeu is a model based in France who is famous for her height -- she is reportedly 126 cm from the waist down.

Yamamoto Mona said that her mother and her friends had been telling her that she had become more cheerful and beautiful recently. "It is all thanks to my boyfriend." She said, making known her relationship with her property dealing boyfriend. She was also wearing a ring on her hand, and stated she always wore it, arousing suspicions of an impending marriage.

Amongst the products launched is a collagen-organic drink/serum. Her cosmetics line has been launched in 15 countries.

(Source: Sanspo) Ueto Aya does a new CM for Aoki, a brand that apparently produces deodorizing and home-washable suits! The new CM is released today while the official press conference for the launch of the new CM took place yesterday in Tokyo. Ueto Aya, who loves white so much that her house is really white, appears in a white one-piece dress in this new CM, alongside a washing machine. I hope it is more interesting than an old Aoki CM here, also by Ueto Aya --

(Source: Sanspo) Ueno Juri (22) is the image-character for Honda's new car series, "Life". The official press conference was held yesterday, 6th November 2008 in Tokyo.

Ueno, who has been driving for 3 years, says that the car comes equipped with a "pack monitor" which makes it easy to park. She also thinks that it is a very nice car, especially when she enters and gets out of it. She has no problems doing parallel parking and would love to take her friends and elder sister out for a drive!

She also revealed that she was thinking of doing a 5-day road trip from Gifu to Kinki, and reporters immediately asked if she would be doing so with a boyfriend, to which Ueno replied, "...". The CM for Honda's Life goes on air today, 7th November 2008.

(Source: Sanspo) Softbank Mobiles has released a new line of mobile phones that supposedly has revised and updated functions found in Apple's iPhone. This line is tailored to customers' wants and the launch is aimed to up sales.

Most notably is the Tiffany-jewel-encrusted mobile that you see Ueto Aya carrying in the photos here. This phone costs 12, 980, 000 Yen. It is a limited edition phone; only 10 are up for grabs.

(Source: Sanspo) Becky (24) attended the official press conference for Zebra's Mackee pens' new CM campaign yesterday, 21st August 2008. The CM goes on air on the 25th.

Becky, who loves Mackee pens (if you don't know what they are, click here) joked that perhaps she should change her name from Becky, to Mackee. Another campaign will be started on the 25th hence, for fans to choose between the two names "Becky" and "Mackee", the most popular of which will be Becky's name henceforth. The results of this poll will be released at the end of October.

(Source: Sanspo) Nankai Candies' Yamazaki Shizuyo, that is (the one in the middle). Just thought I'd try some alliteration ^_^. Anyway, halfie-looking Japanese model Suzanne (21), singer-celebrity Nakagawa Shoko (23) and comedienne Yamazaki Shizuyo (28) attended the official press conference for Kao's Haircare Brand 'Essential Damage Care' 's CM campaign.

When to describe their feelings of shooting the CM in 4 words, Suzanne, famous for playing up the role of an "airhead" or "baka" (in Japanese), replied: "万里の長城って感じ". I don't need to translate that for you to tell that that's more than 4 words right -_-. Haha anyway right after saying that Suzanne goes, "oh that's too many words, isn't it?" Anyway she said it was like the a really long fortress... but the Kanji characters are exactly those used to call the Great Wall of China in chinese. Something along those lines larh.

Anyway CM goes on air next month. Cheers!

(Source: Sanspo) Cosmetics giant Kose announced today (17th August 2008) that Johnny's Entertainment Unit, NEWS will front their new CM campaign for a new line of bath products containing rose fragrance called, "HAPPY BATH DAY Precious Rose".

The CM will start airing on the 19th of this month, and the product, which is made from rose essences, will be on sale starting on the 21st. Other than body and bath soap, the new line includes hair styling products and will cost between 168 and 1890 Yen. This line aims for both the male and female consumer market.

Members of NEWS had this to say about the new products that they were fronting : "If we passed by a girl who was wearing this fragrance, we will definitely turn around to give her a second look."

(Am translating this while watching Singapore's Table Tennis Team in the Olympic finals against China!!!! The doubles match.... haha. Happy Sunday people! ^_^ )

Didn't cam-whore as much this time around, spent it mostly walking and looking and talking and loving. ^_^.

One of my friends ran off to buy Orange Range's album. And then I saw them sitting in a poster above me.


Matsuyama Kenichi was EVERYWHERE in Shibuya (or was it Shinjuku1?!??!) all the buildings, all the same phone. Technically, Horikita Maki was in the same CM but she's not as pervasive as Matsuyama!!

so sad it's over, one of those FUN school trips where you spend everyday with funny people and then suddenly when you're back, you feel empty and hollow and lonelyy. =(. That's all for gossip updates today, Sanspo + Mainichi didn't have anything that interested me!

(Source: Sanspo) Halfie-talent Becky (24) attended Jetstar's official conference on 14th July 2008. I have actually featured her Jetstar commercial in this post; was quite surprised to see a Jetstar ad in Osaka because I didn't know that Jetstar flew to Japan!

Anyway I'll be away to Japan again (on a school trip YAY!!) from 16th - 27th July, so updates will be less frequent. However I will have internet access there so yay~! Personally, I don't have much of a fascination for Becky but just thought I'd put this post here. I find Becky's social life more intriguing, being good friends with Ueto Aya , Fukada Kyoko and Shoko-tan... and purportedly having a tendency to be a lamp-post on other people's dates. Haha.

(Source: Oricon) Sorry folks, a bit slow on this one. (this was dated 10th July, im 2 days late! :X) The CM is probably out somewhere on Youtube, so this post is just flooded with photos. Haha! Oguri Shun as a Kindergarten Teacher, teaching something called Pecology? What? What's the Panda for? Ahh... notice how he tries to make the panda puppet "eat" the plastic bottle in the last pic. It HAS got to do with biodegradability.

Or do I even care? It's Oguri Shun, period! ^_^ Okay truly signing off for the weekend now, yours faithfully gossipgranny.

(Source: Sanspo) The iPhone goes on sale today (11th July 2008) in Japan with Ueto Aya as the star to grace its launch. About 300 people queued overnight for the iPhone. The Softbank boss (beside Ueto Aya in the photos below) made a brief speech saying, "Today, a new history for handphones has started. The iPhone is more of a computer in your hand than a handphone."

Ueto Aya also said that when she first saw the iPhone, she really wanted it and definitely wanted to try using it.
